Position Description:
The Wireless Network Engineer holds an important position within Epoch Universal. Primarily, the engineer will be responsible for project-based design, configuration, and implementation of wireless and/or LAN/WAN networking solutions from mid-level to enterprise-level clients. As part of this, the diagnosis and troubleshooting of both wireless and LAN/WAN networks is also a major responsibility. The engineer is responsible for either assisting other engineers, or developing on his/her own, System Designs, Migration Plans, Test Plans, Diagrams, or any other solution documentation as relevant to a project. Occasional presales/consultancy work may be necessary as well. This includes working with Epoch Universal Account Executives, attending meetings with potential clients, providing overall solution recommendations, and/or developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and writing technical Statements of Work (SOWs).

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and implement wireless and/or LAN/WAN networking solutions for mid-sized to enterprise-level clients
• Troubleshoot both wireless and/or data networks (LAN/WAN)
• Conduct Wireless RF Surveys and document results
• Develop comprehensive project-based System Designs, Network Diagrams, Migration Plans, and Test Plans
• Effectively communicate with internal Account Executives and potential clients to assess and make solution recommendations
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical Statements of Work (SOWs)

Required Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years Cisco wireless design, configuration, implementation, and testing experience
• Minimum of 5 years Cisco routing/switching engineering experience
• Moderate to expert level experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure (PI), Wireless Control System (WCS), or Network Control System (NCS)
• Moderate to expert level experience performing RF Site Surveys/Spectrum Analysis with Airmagnet Spectrum Analyzer
• Experience with wireless packet captures and analysis (WireShark/AirPCAP)
• Understanding of wireless authentication methods including 802.1x, EAP, RADIUS, etc.
• Ability to competently develop System Designs, Network Diagrams, Migration Plans, and Test Plans
• Ability to work with and communicate effectively with internal Account Executives, both orally and in writing
• Ability to communicate effectively and explain concepts and technologies to potential clients, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work with presales engineers and assist in the developing Bills of Material (BOMs) and Technical Statements of Work (SoWs)
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Have a genuine passion for networking technologies

Preferred (Not Required) Experience:
• Cisco ACS or ISE (RADIUS/802.1x)
• Cisco Meraki wireless products
• Aruba wireless products and solutions
• Cisco security products (ASA, SourceFire, Etc.)
• VAR Experience

Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Working Experience
• Cisco CCNA (Required)
• Cisco CCNA Wireless (Preferred, Not Required)
• Cisco CCNP Wireless (Preferred, Not Required)
• Cisco CCNP R/S (Preferred, Not Required)
• Aruba ACMA/ACMP (Preferred, Not Required)
